Fred Earl "Bruta" Newton Jr.

Fred Earl "Bruta" Newton Jr. of Little Rock, Arkansas passed away February 7, 2011. A sweet, gentle, compassionate soul who saw the good in everyone. Fred had a tremendous love for his family and his music. He spent hours upon hours writing lyrics, composing melodies and recording his creations with the hope of simply spreading the love of and for his art form. He graduated from Arkansas Baptist High School and attended the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. He is survived by his loving wife; Gena Newton, daughter; Savannah Newton, father; Fred Sr., mother; Janice, sisters; Lashondra and Felisha and a host of family and friends that loved him dearly. Funeral service will be private.The family hour will be open to the public on Friday, February 11, 2011, 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. at St. Mark Baptist Church on West 12th Street in Little Rock, Ark.
