Fred Caldwell

Fred E. Caldwell, age 75, of Lonoke, died Tuesday Feb. 8, 2011. Fred was born in Saline County on Sept. 17, 1935 to the late William F. and Margie Caldwell. He was a Southern Baptist and a member of Trinity Baptist Church, in Benton. While living in Lonoke, he attended church at New Hope Baptist. Fred had a passion for competitive sports, and excelled in playing baseball and was an avid golfer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Will and Margie Caldwell, a sister, Margie Rundell, and two brothers, Bill and Jerome Caldwell. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth "Susie" of the home, a daughter, Michelle Dawson, two grandchildren, Mikki and Bryan Dawson, all of Bauxite, a special niece, Joy Rundell, of Little Rock, and other nieces and great nephews residing out of state. A visitation will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday afternoon at Ashby's Funeral Home in Benton. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., Monday, Feb 14, at Trinity Baptist Church, 702 Church Rd., Benton, Ark. 72015, with Reverend Fred Dollar officiating.
