CHARLES FAIN FISER, 89, of North Little Rock, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, Feb. 12, 2011. He was born March 2, 1921 to James Fain and Ola Nation Fiser at Clarksville, Ark. In 1923 he moved to Little Rock and later went into the dairy business with his dad. He graduated from Fuller High School in 1940. He carried a milk route for two years, then went to work for Missouri Pacific Railroad, where he retired as yardmaster in 1982 after working for 40 years. He served in the 206th Coast Guard Artillery and in the Navy. He was a 32° mason and member of the Rail Road Yard Masters of America. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Thelma Dunn. They had been married for 54 years. He was also preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; and one sister. He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Margaret Fiser, of North Little Rock; three sons, Charles Danny Fiser (Wilma) of Rogers, Sam Fain Fiser (Debbie) of Springdale, and Charles Fain Fiser Jr. (Karen) of Bryant; six grandchildren and two great-grand children. He loved to sing gospel music and was the leader of the Southwest Gospel singing group for over 25 years, taking the gospel into many area nursing homes, retirement centers and churches. He has been the associate pastor of the Little Rock Community Church for the past 16 years. Visitation will be held Tuesday, 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2011 at the North Little Rock Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Johnny Glaze, pastor of Little Rock Community Church, officiating. Burial will be at Primrose Cemetery.
