Harold W. Peace

Harold W. Peace of Emerson, Ark. passed away on Friday, Feb. 11, 2011 at the Homer Memorial Hospital in Homer, La. He was born on Aug. 12, 1922 in Atlanta, Ark. to the late William Clifford and Lena Fay (Ware) Peace. He a veteran in the United States Airforce serving during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was retired from Baker Oil Tools where he was the Branch Manager. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lyra Lee (Maloch) Peace; a son, Rickey Peace; one sister, Athlene Waller; and two brothers, Maurice Peace and Fred Peace. Harold is survived by his daughter, Toni McClain and her husband Doug of Benton, Ark.; daughter-in-law, Dovie Peace of Maurepas, La.; four grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2011 at 10 a.m. at Lewis Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Eric Goble officiating. Burial will follow at Emerson Presbyterian Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. of Magnolia. Visitation with the family will be Monday evening from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Emerson First United Methodist Church or to the Brister Baptist Church.
