Ludy Belle Riley

LUDY BELLE (PRICHARD) RILEY, of Little Rock, loving mother and grandmother passed from this earth on Feb. 9, 2011. She was born in Monticello, Ark. in 1922. She was raised by a caring father, four brothers, and two sisters who preceded her in death. She was predeceased by her son, James (Jim) Arthur Riley, Jr. Ludy faithfully served as secretary for Riley Refrigeration for 34 years. At age 58, she started a new career working at Maybelline Cosmetics where she loved the friendships of her co-workers and had perfect attendance until she retired at age 70. She exemplified an independent self sufficient spirit who was thankful everyday for her family and life past and present. She befriended and helped those less fortunate and always told us to be kind. She took great pride in her home and was most happy taking care of her yard. She is survived by her cat Fluffy; daughter, Linda Pollock of Dallas Texas; grandsons, Shawn Pollock of Phoenix, Ariz., Justin Riley of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and granddaughter Shelly Abbott of Plano, Texas; great-grandchildren, Cameron and Makenna Abbott of Plano, Texas and Samuel Pollock of Phoenix, Ariz. Family visitation will be on Sunday 4-6 p.m. at North Little Rock Funeral Home and Graveside service will be on Monday, Feb. 14 at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
