James Robert Pollard

James "Jim" Pollard age 78 of Ash Flat, Arkansas died Friday, February 11, 2011 at the Eaglecrest Nursing Home in Ash Flat. He was born March 28, 1932 at Princeton, Kentucky to Martin and Hazel (McCallester) Pollard. He was a pilot and Flight Instructor for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife Evelyn Joyce Pollard, one son, James Robert "Bob" Pollard Jr. and one sister, Paulette Nicholes. He is survived by one daughter, Chrystal "Chris" Sturtz of Albuquerque, New Mexico, one brother, Bill Pollard of Albuquerque, New Mexico, sisters, Lucy Smith of Vidor, Texas, Geanette Corbin of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Betty McGee of Waco, Texas, three grandchildren, Jason Sturtz of Lovilia, Iowa, Pamela Britian of Heartland, Texas, and Kristy Worthen of Salem, Arkansas and five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will begin Saturday, February 19, 2011 at 1 p.m. at the Tri-County Funeral Home Chapel in Highland, Arkansas with Pastor John Hodges officiating. Burial will follow in the Montoir Cemetery in Montoir, Missouri. Visitation will be Saturday February 19, 2011 at 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Tri-County Funeral Home Chapel.
