Mae Etta Myres Halligan

Mae Etta Myres Halligan, age 87, of Warren, Ark. died Monday February 14, at Wagnon Place Nursing Home. Born June 20, 1923 at Warren, Ark. a daughter of the late Enoch Myres and Sallie Davidson Myres. She was a retired Bradley County Clerk serving from 1969 until 1972, retired from West Department Store, Morgan and Lindsey, a member Macedonia Baptist Church and the widow of Roy Britt Halligan who died January 14, 2005. They were united in marriage August 8, 1942. Also, preceding her in death was a son Randall Britt Halligan, brothers Walter Myres, Leon Myres, Leroy Myres and a sister Minnie Bea Woodall. Survivors are two daughters, Brenda Stephens and spouse Lee, Little Rock, Ark. and Betty Chancellor and spouse Frank, Warren, Ark.; one brother, Floyd Myers, Warren, Ark.; one sister, Marie Taylor, Arlington, Wash.; four grandchildren, Andrew Stephens, Allison Stephens both of Little Rock, Ark., Britt Chancellor and spouse Tanya, Warren, Ark., Brian Chancellor and spouse Dena, Little Rock, Ark.; one step-grandson, Jonathan Stephens and spouse Caroline, Los Angeles, Calif.; three great-grandchildren, Will Chancellor, Caleb Chancellor and Braiden Chancellor. Graveside services 1:30 p.m., Wednesday February 16, at Oakland Cemetery by Frazer's Funeral Home. Visitation 6-8 p.m., Tuesday February 15, at Frazer's.
