Rebecca Anderson Hudson

Rebecca Anderson Hudson, 94, passed away Wednesday, February 9, 2011. Family was always the most important thing in her life second was her bridge games and third were desserts. She had many adversities in her life, including the loss of two husbands. Her spirit never waivered. She leaves her wonderful friends in Fort Smith who treated her like family and carried her through rough times after the death of her beloved Jay Anderson. She remarried Gerry Hudson and they lived happily in Fayetteville with their daughter Rebecca. She will be missed by her daughter, Rebecca Slaven, her husband, John and their children, Stuart Slaven, Rebecca Gilliland (John) and Elizabeth Gordon (Nick); her great-grandchildren, Sydney, Cate, John and Andrew Slaven; William Hudson and Rebecca Jane Gilliland; Charlie and Lucy Gordon. A graveside service celebrating her life will be held in Fayetteville later in the spring with all the family by her side as she would have wanted.
