Marjorie Oldham Blackshear

Mrs. Marjorie Lucille Oldham Blackshear, 85, of Rockwall, Texas, formerly of Springdale, died Saturday morning at the family residence. Marjorie was born in Portia, Ark. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lehman Dwight Blackshear and her parents, Thomas Henry and Loma Goad Oldham. Marjorie married Lehman Dwight Blackshear on August 21, 1942 in Lawrence County, Ark. She was a cosmetologist and housewife. Marjorie and Lehman were both, active and long-time members of the First Baptist Church of Springdale, Ark. Survivors include her daughter, Alice Louise (Blackshear) England of Dallas, Texas; two sisters; Armolee Garner of Paragould and Beuna Manthey of West Memphis; one brother, Elvis Oldham of Sioux Falls, S.D.; and grandchildren, Cary Dean England and Holly Louise England. Funeral service will be Wednesday afternoon at 1 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Hoxie with Blake Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Lawrence Memorial Park Cemetery in Walnut Ridge, Ark., with Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann in charge. Visitation will be Wednesday from 12 noon until time of service at the First Baptist Church in Hoxie. An online register book can be signed at www.thompsonfuneralhome.net.
