Ardath Elizabeth "Beth" Saunders Stanford

Ardath Elizabeth "Beth" Saunders Stanford died February 10, 2011 after a brief illness in Hayward, California. She was born December 21, 1948 to William Henry and Ardath Lee (Buzbee) Saunders in Little Rock, Ark., where she spent her childhood and young adult years, active in the Girl Scouts and Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, where she was a member of the Retreat Singers. After attending Carlton College and living in Columbia, South America for a brief time, Beth settled in the San Francisco Bay Area, where she made her home and raised her two sons. Beth will be remembered as a loving wife and mom, caring big sister and a compassionate caregiver for those in need. Survivors include her husband Jim, sons, Renzo (Milenka) and Guthrie, and grandson, Santino in California, brothers Steve (Cathie) from Chicago, Ill. and Thom (Rhonda) from Tupelo, Miss, nieces, Sara, Rebecca, and Erin and nephew Adam. She is also survived by her aunts Betty (Heber) Helvenston in Little Rock, Ark. and Pat Tolson in St. Louis, Mo., as well as many lifelong friends and loved ones throughout the country.
