Lester Floyd Cupp

Lester Floyd Cupp, age 83, of Morrilton, Ark., passed away Friday, Feb. 18, 2011. He was born May 4, 1927 in Morrilton, Ark., to Lester and Gertrude (Halbrook) Cupp. He was co-owner of Cupp's Minnow Hatchery and a retired Assistant Fire Chief of the Morrilton Fire Department. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Morrilton, Ark. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Pauline Jackson Cupp; a son, Cecil Floyd "Chip" Cupp, and a brother, Jack Cupp. Survivors include three daughters, Vicki Stobaugh of Russellville, Leslie Parks of Morrilton, Paula (Doug) Darter of Southaven, Miss.; brother and sister-in-law, Lloyd and Dean Cupp of Morrilton; sisters-in-law, Mary Sue Pettus of Conway and Shirley Bean of Plumerville; six grandchildren, Leigh Ann Tipton-Harrison, Matthew Stobaugh, Greg Parks, David Cupp, Sara Darter, Trey Darter; step grandchildren: Leah Ferricher Zeller, Rachel Ferricher Coffman, Brandi Williams Bradley, Brittany Williams Windham; six great-grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 21, at Harris Chapel with Rev. David Scroggins and Rev. Jerry Collins officiating. Interment will be at Elmwood Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 20, at the funeral home.
