Thomas "Buddy" Wolfe

Thomas "Buddy" Wolfe age 84 of Warren, Ark. died Saturday, Feb. 19 in the Wagnon Place Nursing Home. He was born Oct. 16, 1926 at home in Cleveland County, Ark., a son of the late Henry Wolfe and Cora Dearman Wolfe. He was owner and operator of Deon Construction Company, which he started Sept. 1, 1968, building highways and bridges for over 60 years. He started his career as a young man, working for Henry Wolfe logging and for 20 years, he was employed with S.M. Dixon Company, where he built highways and bridges all through of the South, ultimately giving him the ability to start and operate his on company, Deon Construction. He was a member of Willoughby Freewill Baptist Church and a War War II United States Navy Veteran, where he served as a Navy Seebee and a machinist mate. Also preceding him in death, a son, Gary Wolfe, two sisters, Ruby Lee Wolfe and Edith Wolfe Reep and a great-grandchild. He is survived by his wife, Tommie Jo White Wolfe, whom he married July 26, 1947 in Cleveland County. A son, Deon Wolfe, Warren, Ark.; three daughters, Sylvia Wolfe Haun and spouse Edward, Mt. Home, Ark., Rhonda Wolfe Maxwell and spouse Marty, Fayetteville, Ark. and Tamara Wolfe Johnson and spouse Ron, Warren, Ark.; 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Funeral services 1:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 21, at Frazer's Chapel. Burial in Willoughby Cemetery. Visitation 6 p.m. till 8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 20 at Frazer's Funeral Home.
