Alton Fenton Ray

Alton Fenton Ray, age 80, of Ward passed away Feb. 18, 2011 in Little Rock. He was born Dec. 21, 1930 in Etta Bina, Miss., to the late Joseph Meek and Ruthie Jane Collier Ray. He is also preceded in death by brothers, Johnny and Carroll Ray, sisters, Inez Oswalt and Velma Simpson. He is survived by wife, Janet Ray of the home, two sons, Bradley Wayne Ray of El Paso, Bruce Allen Ray of Ward, daughters, Brenda Carol Ott of North Little Rock, Bonita Lynn Goodman of Ward, two brothers, Arthur Ray of Furlow, Le Roy Ray of Drew, Miss., sisters, Mary Hollingsworth and Mildred Avant both of Water Valley, Miss., 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, numerous other family friends and loved ones. Visitation Monday, Feb. 21, 2011 from 6 p.m. till 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Services 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2011 at Oak Grove First Baptist Church in Austin. Interment at Rest Hills Cemetery.
