Dorothy Lynn Anderson

Dorothy Lynn Bailey Anderson know as Dot, Mom and Mem to family and friends stood before the Lord yesterday to hear Him speak to her face to face saying, "Well done my good and faithful servant!" Those who were honored to know Dot met a whirlwind of life, lived out to the fullest. As she always said, she lived life 24/27 and never met a stranger. Her husband and the love of her life C.E. Anderson greeted her into eternity along by her Lord and Savior. Together they brought into this life three beautiful children to follow in their footsteps. First were Kay Mallett of Conway, then Tim Anderson of Rogers and the baby of the family Cindy A. Young of Little Rock, Arkansas. These three children were blessed with families of their own. Her son-in laws were Trent Mallett and Steven Young. Her daughter in-law was Jamie Anderson. She loved her grandchildren: Nicole Mallett Cooper, Courtney Mallett, Emily Anderson Wood, and Daniel Anderson. Her great grandchildren Cecilia Cooper, Anderson Cooper and Cameron Mallett were adored. Dot was waiting on her fourth great-grandchild Olivia Wood due next month. Dot also loved the rest of the "Anderson Wild Bunch" Hugh Cooper and Kyle Wood. She was a strong Christian woman who was most proud of being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her children saw her live a life that was Christ centered. When her children were young she was involved in all their activities as well as teaching Sunday school, signing in the choir, and dressing up at Halloween as Phyllis Diller. She whistled as she worked and worked she did! She often said, "don't rest on your laurels". When someone in her family had a setback or failure she would tell them "God has a plan for you and you'll be something else." She was always right! Dot raised her children with Biblical principals and instilled in them strong work ethic and a strong character of integrity. Dot was an entrepreneur always creating "something from nothing". She was an interior designer who along with her daughter Kay created "Two Designing Women" where she used her gifts to brighten others hearts and homes. Dot will be remembered for the beautiful flower arrangements she designed for many weddings. Dot and CE were charter members of Woodlands Heights Baptist Church in Conway, Ark. This is the place where her family and friends will gather to celebrate her life. Services will be held at 10 a.m., on Thursday, February 24, 2011 at Woodlands Heights Baptist Church with Brother David Hatfield officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Cemetery, Conway.
