Dorothy Jean Martin

Dorothy Jean (Marshall) Martin, 84 of Rogers, Arkansas formerly of Magnolia, Arkansas died Sunday, February 20, 2011 at the Jamestown Nursing and Rehab in Rogers, Arkansas. Dorothy was born November 7, 1926 in Magnolia, Arkansas and was a bookkeeper and receptionist. She was a former member of the Asbury United Methodist Church in Magnolia and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Bentonville. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Dessie Marshall, husband, James Archer Martin and brother, Sam Marshall. Survivors are her son, James Martin and wife Connie of Washburn, Missouri; daughters, Patricia Johnson and husband Reuben of Louisville, Kentucky and Carol McDonald of Bentonville; brothers, Jack Marshall of Magnolia, Harry Marshall of Shreveport, Louisiana and Billy Marshall of Placitas, New Mexico; sister-in-law, Mary Helen Martin of Waldo; seven grandsons and four granddaughters; four great-grandsons, and 13 great-granddaughters; and 13 nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, February 25, 2011 at the Lewis Chapel with Pastor Steve Marshall officiating. Burial will follow at the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. of Magnolia.
