William Alroy "Bill" Seaton

William Alroy "Bill" Seaton, 89, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday morning, February 22, 2011 at his home in Springdale, Arkansas, with his wife by his side. He was born on June 24, 1921 in Austin, Arkansas (The Sylvania community, Lonoke County), the only child of William Elihue Seaton and Willene Dicus Seaton, which preceded him in death. Bill graduated from High School in Beebe, Arkansas, in 1940. He later served in the US Coast Guard during WWII on the USS Mills. He was also a member of the Elmdale Baptist Church of Springdale, where he enjoyed the Senior Adult Men's Sunday school class. Mr. Seaton worked in the Procurement of Forest Products division of Koppers, Inc. and worked independently in Real Estate and Trucking. He retired in 2001. He enjoyed reading, playing card games and spending time with his family and his special Pomeranian dog "Rusty". He is survived by his wife of the home, Mary Emma Jones Seaton; one daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and Kenneth Kipp of Haines City, Florida; two sons and daughters-in-law, William Michael and Martha Seaton of Denton, Texas and Rick and Stacy Seaton of Jefferson City, Missouri. He is also survived by seven granddaughters, Kristie Allen, Kelley and Jason Erickson, Sarah and Roy Jackson, Allyson and Jeremy Waters, Rachel and Larry Fish, Maryssa Kipp, Karen and Dennis Combs; eight great-grandchildren and a special family friend, Earlean Smith. Graveside services will be held by the Westbrook Funeral Home of Beebe, Arkansas at the Mount Carmel Cemetery in Cabot, Saturday, February 26, 2011 at 2 p.m. with military honors. A memorial service will also be held at the Elmdale Baptist Church, Springdale, on Sunday, February 27 at 2 p.m. with Dr. Rick Seaton and Rev Kenneth Kipp officiating. www.westbrookfuneralhome.com.
