BARBARA BUNN HOUSER of Little Rock died Feb. 25, 2011. Patti, as she was know to friends and family, was born Oct. 30, 1937, in Hot Springs, Ark. Her parents were William Buel Bunn and Margaret Macie Tittle Bunn. In 1963, she married B. J. Houser who survives. Survivors are her daughter, Susan Fuller and her husband, Dr. Jim Fuller; her son, Parker Houser and his wife, Diana; and grandchildren, Ashley Fuller, Clint Fuller, and William Robert Houser; a brother, David Bunn and wife, Susan, of Hot Springs; and sister, Bobbye Henry of New Boston, Texas; nieces, Janet Willis and Virginia Guneyli: and nephew, Buck Bunn. Barbara grew up in Hot Springs; after graduation from Hot Springs High School, she worked for several years in Washington, D.C. and from 1957 to 1960 worked for Mrs. Eisenhower as a member of the White House Social Staff. She later began working for the Social Security Administration in Hot Springs and retired from that agency after a 30 year career in government service. No flowers, please. Barbara was an inveterate and eclectic reader. Memorials to the Garland County Library, 1427 Malvern Avenue, Hot Springs, Ark. 71901 would please her. A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, March 5, First United Methodist Church, Little Rock. Arrangements by North Little Rock Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1921 Main, 758-1170.
