Elsie Thomas

Elsie Robinson Thomas, age 93, of Benton, passed away Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011. She was born July 10, 1917 in Owensville, Ark. Mrs. Thomas was a homemaker, rancher and of the Baptist Faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, O.D. and Clemmie Tillery Robinson; husband, Louis Thomas; son, William "Bill" Thomas; son-in-law, John Mitchell; daughter-in-law, Judy Thomas; brother, Roger Robinson and a sister, Dimple Nicklaus. She is survived by two sons, Jim Thomas and wife Leann of Benton and Wilson Thomas of Nevada; daughter, Jessie Mitchell of Benton; nine grandchildren, Paula Swain (Fred Jr.), Karen Yarberry (David), Sean Thomas (Jenna), Jason Thomas, Terry Thomas, Toni Inserra, Tammy Thomas, Trisha Umphries and Tracy Thomas; 13 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 28 at Ashby Funeral Home. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 1 at New Rosemont Cemetery. Bro. Richard Hamlin and Bro.
