Royce D. Burroughs

ROYCE D. BURROUGHS, 75, of Little Rock, Ark. went to be with the Lord, Feb. 26, 2011. He was born Aug. 15, 1935 in Damascus, Ark. to the late Cloy Ray and Norma Honeycutt Burroughs. An infant sister also precedes him in death. He will be remembered as a loving husband and father and a good man. Survivors include his loving wife of 55 years, Billie A. Williams Burroughs; a son Marshall Burroughs and his wife Mickey of Maumelle; daughter Sherry Squires and husband Leroy of Alexander, daughter, Susan Hastings and husband Brandy of Bauxite; brothers, Kenneth Burroughs and Raymond Burroughs and Raymond's wife, Mitzi; grandchildren, Andi Burroughs of Maumelle, Riley Hastings of Bauxite, John Shepherd of Little Rock, Jesse Springer and husband, Patrick of Bauxite and Dani Long of East End. Graveside services will be 2 p.m., Monday, Feb. 28, 2011 at Ivey Chapel Cemetery. Mr. Burroughs will lie in state at Griffin Leggett Healey and Roth Funeral Home 5800 W. 12th St. Little Rock, Ark. 501-661-9111, on Sunday the 27th from noon until 4:00pm.
