Betty L. Haisty, 77, of Hot Springs Village passed away Feb. 26, 2011. She was born Feb. 22, 1934 in Tillar, Ark., to the late Vance B. and Ida Mae Hogue. She graduated from Arkansas A & M in Monticello, and was a retired elementary school teacher. Betty was a member of Barcelona Road Baptist Church. She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, John Dale Haisty of the home; two daughters, Becky Paneitz-Danks and husband Dave of Rogers, Ark., and Cindy Gardner of Jacksonville, Fla.; two grandchildren, Heather Sullivan of Pueblo West, Colo., and Jessica Paneitz of Rogers, Ark.; four great-grandchildren, Haylee and Thomas VanDeGrift of Pueblo West, Colo., and Isabella Bryan and Christian Paneitz of Rogers, Ark.; brothers, Vance Hogue Jr. and wife Betty Jean of Benton, Ark., David Hogue and wife Hazel of Jefferson, Ark., Jim Hogue and wife Jerrie Anna of Redfield, Ark., and Gary Hogue and wife Alma of Sheridan, Ark.; sisters, Virginia Edington and husband Ernest of Benton, Mary Catherine Gantt of Livingston, Tenn., Viola Wheetley of Little Rock, Lucille Hogue of Livingston, Tenn., Olivia Kirkpatrick and husband Jerry of Mablevale, Ark., Lynn Jones and husband Max of Marshall, Ark., and Rita Jane Hogue of Conway, Ark.; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Wednesday at Barcelona Road Baptist Church, 390 Barcelona Rd., Hot Springs Village, Ark. Burial will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday at Forest Hills Cemetery, 10201 Hwy 5 North, (Alexander) Little Rock, Ark. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Tuesday at Caruth-Village Funeral Home, 501-984-6111.
