Lee Ophelia Barker

Lee Ophelia Sanders Barker, 94, of Kingsland, died Friday, Dec. 31, 2010. She was born Jan. 4, 1916 in Macon, Miss. to the late James O. and Bertha Rogers Sanders. She is preceded in death by her husband, William Edward Barker; daughter, Faye Bruch; and sister, Dorothy Lindsey. She is survived by three daughters, Lee Klappenbach and husband Norm of Kingsland, Mary Bradford and husband Johnny of Fordyce, Ann Benefield of Little Rock; son-in-law Forrest Bruch Sr. of Spring, Texas; brother, James Sanders of Sherwood; 11 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren. The family would like to offer special thanks to The Hospice Angels of Pine Bluff and to St. John's Place in Fordyce for their tremendous and loving care for Mrs. Barker. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Benton Funeral Home Chapel in Fordyce. Burial will be at Kingsland Cemetery.
