Payton Hester Ezell, 89, of Cabot died Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at his home. He was born June 14, 1921 in Dalark, Arkansas to the late Willis and Rosa Langley Ezell. Mr. Ezell served in the U.S. Army during WW II. He was employed many years with Arkansas Power and Light. Mr. Ezell served as a volunteer fireman in Jacksonville for 21 years. He was preceded in death several brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Myrtle Ezell of Cabot; four children, Thomas Ezell of Memphis, Tennessee, Ricky and his wife, Reba Ezell of Cabot, Vickie and her husband William Fielding of Cabot, and Denver Ezell of Camden, Arkansas, five grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Thursday, January 13, 2011 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Chapel with Jerry Terrell officiating. Interment will follow at Bayou Meto Cemetery in Jacksonville.
