Donald Morriss Croft

Donald Morriss Croft, 78, of Brownwood, Texas, died Thursday, Jan. 20, 2011. A memorial service was held Monday, January 24, 2011. Don was born on April 16, 1932, in Little Rock, Arkansas to Clinton Giles Croft and Marie Morriss Croft. He graduated from Little Rock High School in 1950, from Amarillo College in 1956, and from West Texas State College in 1963. He also spent 4 1/2 years in the Air Force in the period of the Korean War. He held many post graduate certifications in banking and worked in the banking industry for over 50 years in towns including Amarillo, Ennis, Corsicana, and Brownwood. Don was an avid reader and he loved animals. Survivors include his wife, Mary Jo Croft, daughter, Jo Lynn Landrum, son, David Croft all of Brownwood; three grandchildren; three great-grandsons; sister, Ann Croft Crow, and nephew, Mark Alan Bettis of Little Rock.
