R. Clinton Hawkins

R. Clinton Hawkins, 64, of Oxford, Arkansas, was born on May 30, 1947, in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, the son of Ralph S. and Lyla W. (Smith) Hawkins. He departed this life on June 29, 2011, at his home. Clinton was united in marriage to Mary Ellen Burleson on August 24, 1968, at Lead Hill, Arkansas. He worked as a licensed abstractor. Clinton was a member of the Wiseman Baptist Church. He leaves to mourn his passing: wife, Mary Ellen Hawkins of Oxford; one son, Joseph Blain Hawkins and wife Lindsay, of Lead Hill; two daughters, Heather Marie Auxier and husbanbDavid of Missouri, and Morgan Brittiany Bray and husband, Nic of Mountain View; mother-in-law, Ella Marie Burleson of Lead Hill; two sisters, Beverly Watkins and husband Donald of Conway and Angela Huenefeld and husband Paul of Pine Bluff; seven grandchildren, Caleb, Cobie, Caiha and Carys Auxier and Avery, Cael and Jordan Bray; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and father-in-law, Burpee Burleson. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2011, 10 a.m., at Keesee Community Church in Monarch, Arkansas, with Bro. Alan Winberry and Bro. Nic Bray officiating. Interment will be in Keesee Cemetery at Monarch, Arkansas, under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas. Visitation will be Friday, July 1, 6-8 p.m, at Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas. Memorials may be sent to Children's Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas.
