Robert E. Crigger, 77 of El Paso, passed away Friday, July 22, 2011. Born in Hamblem County, Tenn., he was a son to the late Robert D. and Martha Hazel (Gray) Crigger. Mr. Crigger was a retired Air Force veteran having served during the Vietnam era. After serving in the Air Force he became an executive for Fed-Ex at both the Memphis and Little Rock locations. He was a loving father and grandfather who greatly enjoyed the outdoors and watching "his" animals from his front porch. He was preceded in death by his previously mentioned parents and his wife of 50 years, Levenia (Hindman) Crigger. Survivors include his son, James E. Crigger of Portland, Mass.; daughter, Brenda Thweatt of South Haven, Miss.; step-sons: Dean E. Coker of Glendale, Ariz. and Leonard C. Coker of Mayflower; sisters, Helen Jackson, Marilyn Wiedman, Patsy Strange and Nellie Compton; brothers, Jesse Crigger and Billy Crigger and numerous grand and great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Conway, with Rev. Don Rascoe officiating. Interment will follow at Mayflower Cemetery with Bobby Coker, Tracy Brown, Jimmy Mahar, Billy Fulmer, Dustin Brazier and Dale Compton serving as pallbearers.
