Rosella Lee Gordon

Rosella Lee Gordon, 87, beloved wife, mother, and aunt passed Friday June 3, 2011. Though born Dec. 20, 1923 in Caney, Kan., she lived in and considered California her home. She married Connie Augustus Gordon in 1946, of Pasadena, living there till retirement when they moved to Paradise and Arroyo Grande. She enjoyed being a homemaker, her many crafts, and entertaining. Rose served as an active member of the Eastern Star. After being a two time cancer survivor, she co-founded the Church of Religious Science in Arroyo Grande and went on to enjoy life another 35-40 years. Rose was known for her grace, kindness, and generosity. She was preceded by her parents, a brother and four sisters. Rose is survived by her remaining sister, Grace Ayers of Caney, Kan., her son, Rod Gordon, of Bella Vista and California, and many loving nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held for friends and relatives while traveling from Bella Vista to California where she will be interred along side her husband Gordy at the Los Osos Memorial Park over-looking the Pacific Ocean.
