Mary Jo French

Mary Jo French, age 49, of Oppelo, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2011. She was born August 8, 1961 in Morrilton, Arkansas. She was a counselor at Morrilton Intermediate School and attended Morrilton First Assembly of God. Mary Jo received her Bachelor's degree in 1984 and her Master's Degree in 1990 from UCA. She was a breast cancer survivor and participated in marathons, triathlons, and bike races. She was a wonderful and loving daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt, and friend to everyone who knew her. Her sweet face and beautiful smile will be missed. Survivors include her parents, Billy Joe French and Louise Seay French of Oppelo; brother, Jeffrey French and wife Amy of Oppelo; sister, Regina Tilley and husband Mark of Morrilton; grandfather, Joseph French of Deberrie; three nieces, Lindsey and Katie French and Kaylyn Tilley; and two nephews, Cole Tilley and Ian French. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Katie French and Alice Seay and George Seay. Funeral Services 10 a.m., Wednesday, June 8, at Morrilton First Assembly of God with Rev. Joe Alzate and Rev. Euna Mae Gibby officiating. Burial will be at Wolfe Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Soaring Wings Ranch, P.O.
