Claudette Lockhart Bagwell

Claudette Ruth Lockhart Bagwell, 69, widow of John Bagwell, died Friday, June 10, 2011, at Baptist Health-Little Rock. Claudette was born Nov. 9, 1941, in Humphrey to Kermit Kelly "KK" Lockhart and Maxine Ruth Sherman Lockhart. Following graduation from Humphrey High School, she received a Bachelor of Science in Education degree from the University of Arkansas-Monticello. Following a 44-year teaching career in Dumas, Grady and Almyra, Claudette retired in 2006 from Dollarway High School after 25 years as the girls' basketball coach. Survivors are one son, Shane Bagwell of Humphrey; one granddaughter, Kirstin Bagwell of Humphrey; two brothers, Dwight "Hotsey" Lockhart of Stuttgart and Randy Lockhart of Humphrey; and one sister, Marjorie Dobson of Stuttgart. Funeral services, officiated by Jackie Marshall and Bro. Garry Alverson, are 10 a.m. Monday at Humphrey Baptist Church with burial in Frazier Cemetery.
