Edward Bryant Lindsey, 83, resident of Bartlesville was welcomed to heaven Saturday evening, June 18, 2011. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday in the East Cross United Methodist Church with Rev. Chad Perceful officiating. The family will be receiving guests Tuesday evening from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. at the Stumpff Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory. Edd was born on May 14, 1928 in Calico Rock, Arkansas and graduated high school there. He married Helen Faye Langston on December 24, 1949 in Batesville, Arkansas. Edd accepted a position with Phillips Petroleum at Borger, Texas at the Research and Development Center in 1952. He transferred to Bartlesville in 1954 and worked for Phillips for 33 years retiring in 1985. Edd is survived by his wife of 61 years, Helen Faye (Langston) Lindsey, three children: David Lindsey of Hermitage, Tenn., Martha Beard and husband Pat of Lawrence, Kan., Steven Lindsey and wife Maria of Moore, Okla.; six grandchildren: Tyler and Nick Lindsey of San Antonio, Texas, Chris and Ben Beard of Lawrence, Kan., Cara and Joshua Lindsey of Moore, Okla., two brothers, Keith Lindsey of Calico Rock and Kent Lindsey of Biggers, Ark. Edd was preceded in death by his parents, seven brothers and one sister. The family requests memorial contributions made to the East Cross United Methodist Church, 820 S.E. Madison Blvd., Bartlesville, Okla. 74006.
