Emma Jewel Harkey

Emma Jewel Harkey, 84 passed from this life Monday in Walnut Ridge. She was born November 24, 1926 to William and Edith Hooker Minor in Whitton, Arkansas. She was a lifelong resident of Lawrence County and retired from Frolic Footwear. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Walnut Ridge. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Joan Lehr and husbands, Joe Minor and Charlie Harkey. She is survived by daughter, Judy Turnbull and husband Leland of Walnut Ridge; son, Joe Minor of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; sister, Joy Markam and husband Jerry of Little Rock; brother, Gene Minor and wife Dottie also of Little Rock; two grandchildren, Travis and Abbie Minor. Memorial Services will be Saturday, 11 a.m. in House-Gregg Funeral Home of Walnut Ridge with Bro. Mark Harris officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service.
