Ivar Vincent Hanson

Ivar Vincent Hanson, 86, passed away Friday, June 17, 2011 at Circle of Life Hospice Home in Bentonville, Arkansas. Ivar was born in Olsburg, Kansas, the son of Elmer and Teckla Hanson. Ivar was a civil engineer with the city of Wichita for 30 years. He was a member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Wichita and sang for many years in the choir. He also served in the U.S. Navy in WWII. He is survived by his wife for over 66 years Betty, his daughter Jennifer and husband Dennis Wood of Seattle, Washington; his son David Hanson and wife Kathi of Bentonville, Arkansas; grandchildren, Heather Wooten , Andrew Harville, Jonathan Hanson and Laura Rowzee; and three great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to Gloria Dei Lutheran Church of Wichita Kansas, or Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville, Arkansas.
