Loretta Gray Plafcan

Loretta Gray Plafcan, age 79, of Lewisville, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2011. Mrs. Plafcan was born June 22, 1931, in Lewisville, Ark., to David B. and Zora Smith Gray. Mrs. Plafcan was a member of First Baptist Church in Lewisville, Ark., retired from Lewisville Water Department and a homemaker. Mrs. Plafcan was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Albert M. Plafcan; her son, Mike Plafcan; and her brother, David Gray, Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Marilyn Upton of Little Rock, Ark.; her son, Jerry Plafcan and wife, Penny of Buckner, Ark.; her daughter-in-law, Glenna Plafcan of Lewisville, Ark.; her brother, Lloyd Gray and wife, Sally of Cardiff, Calif.; her grandchildren, Laura Upton of Anaheim, Calif.; Alex Plafcan of Russellville, Ark.; Rachel Plafcan of Magnolia, Ark.; Austin Plafcan of Buckner, Ark.; Brian Plafcan of Lewisville, Ark.; and Carole Smith of Genoa, Ark.; her great-grandchildren, Kaleigh Williams of Magnolia, Ark.; Drew Plafcan of Lewisville, Ark.; and Ty Smith of Genoa, Ark.; and many nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 19, 2011, at Wilson Cemetery with Bro. Mike Turner officiating under the direction of Smith Funeral Homes in Stamps, Ark. Family will be accepting friends on Friday, March 18, 2011, after 5 p.m. at 223 W. 13th St. in Lewisville, Ark.
