Marylan Doyel Berry, 81, of Mt. Ida, went home on March 21, 2011. She was born September 19, 1929 to James R. and Mary Huddleston Doyel in Oden, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years Claude M. Berry. She was a devoted Christian, daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and teacher. Survivors two sons, William D. and Pam Berry, Bob and Glenda Berry, granddaughter April McMillin and Murray,  great-grandson, Miles McPherson, granddaughter Erin Bolton (Bryan) Traci Holloway (Jeremy); grandson, Brett Berry (Kristy); great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Keith Bolton, Chase and Kayla Holloway, Nathan and Landon Berry, Riley Charlie McMillin, sister, Sybil O'Neal, many nieces and nephews. Marylan a life long Math teacher and taught at several schools through out Arkansas. She was devoted to her students and, in turn loved by them. Many have stayed in close contact with her over the years. One of Marylan's ministries was baking bread. She was known locally as the  "bread lady" as she shared her bread through out the community. Visitation will be Wednesday March 23, 2011 at Faith Tabernacle Church in Mt. Ida, from 12 noon to 2 p.m. Services will be at 2 p.m. following visitation with Bro. Paul Burke officiating interment will be Oden Cemetery, in Oden Arkansas under the direction of Thornton Funeral Home in Mt. Ida, Ark. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Arkansas Alzheimer's Association or Faith Tabernacle, P.O. Box 88, Mount Ida, Arkansas 71957.
