Charles Robert Harrison

Charles Robert Harrison, 80, of Foreman, Ark. died Tuesday March 22, 2011. He was born September 30, 1930 at County Line to Willie and Gladys Harrison. He grew up in Ashdown and graduated from Ashdown High School in 1948. He attended the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, graduating with a degree in Business Administration and worked as an accountant for the Foreman Cement Plant until he retired. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He attended St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in Foreman and was a member of the Little River County Historical Society. He enjoyed gardening, his many collections, the organizations he belonged to over the years and the wonderful friends he made throughout he life. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 55 years, Margaret Benbrook Harrison and one son, David Charles Harrison. Survivors include one daughter, Jane Catherine Gauldin of Springfield, Va.; five grandchildren, Caitlin Harrison of Hamburg, Ark.; Patrick Gauldin of Springfield, Va., John Gauldin of Springfield, Va., Elizabeth Gauldin of Springfield , Va., Amanda Willett and her husband Jason of Oak Hill, Va. and great-grandchildren Emily and Samuel Willett. He truly loved his family who will miss him dearly. Visitation will be Friday, March 25 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Madden Funeral Home-Foreman Chapel. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 26 at Dollarhide Cemetery in Foreman, Ark. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, P.O.
