HARRIS LEE CLEMENTS, 80, of North Little Rock, passed away at his home April 28, 2011, after suffering a long battle with Parkinson's disease. Lee was born Oct. 28, 1930 and was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Jo Holt Clements and his parents, Charles Wells and Maggie Smith Clements of North Little Rock. He was also preceded in death by his brothers and sister, Hugh Clements, William S. "Bill" Clements, Charles Clements and Lucille Buckland. Lee is survived by two sons, David Clements and wife Debbie of Sherwood, Larry Clements and wife Patricia of Sherwood; two daughters, Linda Wiley and her husband Danny of North Little Rock, Carol Brown Gregory of Sherwood; three grandsons, David Lee Clements, Mark Clements and Chris Brown; four granddaughters, Michelle Dietz, Leah Johannes, Rachel Abbott, and Ashley Stahl; and seven great-grandchildren. Lee was a member of the Sylvan Hills United Methodist Church. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and a Shriner. He began his career as the owner of a grocery store and then sold church furniture for Leird Manufacturing before finding his mark in life in the construction business. He worked with R&W Construction in North Little Rock and eventually became the owner of Mark-K Corporation, a family owned construction business that specialized in building churches. Lee has touched the lives of many people throughout his career. Everywhere you go in Arkansas and the surrounding states you hear stories from church leaders of how Lee built their churches with first class workmanship while saving them money. The family will welcome friends at Roller-Owens Funeral Home, 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd., North Little Rock, 501-791-7400, from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, May 2, 2011. Funeral services, officiated by Reverend Jim Keith, will be at Roller-Owens Funeral Home Chapel, 10 a.m., Tuesday, May 3, 2011. Interment will be at Pinecrest Memorial Park, Alexander, Ark.
