Lois Clinton Dodson, age 72, of Arkadelphia died Monday. She was born December 30, 1937 in McGhee, Ark., the daughter of Lee and Blanche Eason Clinton. Lois was a retired Associate Professor in the School of Business at Henderson State University where she taught for 25 years. Lois was a Girl's State attendee and served meals for the Abused Women and Children's Shelter. Lois enjoyed her Thursday Ladies' Bridge Club and had a passion for travel and reading. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Arkadelphia. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son Donald Alan Dodson. Survivors include her husband Don Dodson, one daughter, Cindy Dodson Layne and her husband Krey of Sherwood, AR, one brother, Bill Clinton and his wife Else of Henderson, Nev., two grandchildren, Jessica Young and David Layne, sister-in-law, Louise Dodson of Magnolia, Ark., brother-in-law, Tommy Welch of Lafayette, La., and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Wednesday in the Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Chapel with Dr. Lee McGlone officiating. Burial will be in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens. Friends may pay their respects and view Mrs. Dodson from 1 to 5 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home. There will be no formal visitation.
