Mary Virginia Sliter

Mary Virginia Sliter, age 74, of Springdale died Saturday, April 30, 2011 at Northwest Medical Center after a brave and courageous battle with an extended illness, to be in the loving arms of Jesus. She was born February 12, 1937 in Waltreak, Ark. to the late Thurman & Stella Daman. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother & wife who had a great love for flowers, gardening, cooking and family gatherings. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband James Williams Sliter; children & spouses, Linda Caudle & Jim of Little Rock; Rick Millard & Polly of Bentonville, Ark.; brother & spouse, David Daman & Vada of Danville; sisters & spouses, Rebecca Millard and Pat of Blue Ball; Reba Underwood of Springdale; grandchildren, Kimberly & Aaron Jacobi of Little Rock; Matthew Millard of Little Rock; Isaac Millard of Bentonville; Caleb Millard of Bentonville. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 4, 2011, at Waltreak Methodist Church with Rev. Pat Millard officiating. Burial will be at Waltreak Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday 6-8 p.m. at Cornwell Funeral Home, Danville. Memorials may be made to; Waltreat Methodist Church, UMC 5411 Millard Lane, Danville, Ark. 72833.
