Patricia Lucille Freeman Carpenter

Patricia Lucille Freeman Carpenter, 81, of West Memphis, Arkansas, formerly of Lepanto and Harrisburg, died peacefully on Monday, May 2. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ewell and Lucille Freeman, her husband, George W. Carpenter Jr. and her brother, Charles Van Freeman of North Little Rock. She is survived by her children, Cathy (Hugh) Moore Hollowell; Scott (Ann) Carpenter; Cindi (Churck) McCreery and Stan (Rebecca) Carpenter; her precious grandchildren, Katherine Carpenter, Blaine Moore, Anna Nance (Tyler) Wohrman, Miller Moore, Georgeanne Carpenter, Clayton Carpenter and Laura Carpenter. She also leaves her sisters, Bettye Fullerton of North Little Rock, Shirley Foust of Jonesboro, her brother, Dr. Robert K. Freeman of Hot Springs and a sister-in-law, Jackie Nelson of Marion. Pat graduated from Arkansas State Teacher College in Conway. She was a former music teacher at Lepanto high School and a private piano instructor for over 50 years. A devoted mother and grandmother, she enjoyed her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. The family wishes to extend our gratitude for the excellent care she received at Broadway Healthcare Center and friends who supported her during this time. A memorial service will he held at the First United Methodist Church in West Memphis on Friday, may 6, at 1 p.m. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 215 North Missouri, West Memphis, Ark. 72301 or to the charity of their choice.
