Jewell Dean Jones

Jewell Dean Jones, 75, of Little Rock, passed away Monday, May 3, 2011. Jewell Dean was born on October 31, 1935, in Little Rock to Susie (Dunlap) Wilson and Herman Wright Howell. She attended Fuller High School and UALR. She was a paralegal for National Old Line Life Insurance Company/PFL Life Insurance Company for 42 years. She also sold real estate for ERA Collins and later worked for Ozark National Life Insurance Company. Jewell Dean loved to work and stay busy but, most of all, she loved her family. She was a caring, doting mother, sister, aunt and friend. She was preceded in death by her son, Gregory Jones; brother, Larry Howell; and sister Dorothy Fisher. She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Jones of Maumelle; daughter-in-law, Robin Jones of Mayflower; sister, Thelma Simmons of Little Rock; brothers Bo Howell of Mabelvale and Buddy Howell of Baytown, Texas; and her granddogs, Bunny and Jet. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Monday at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home (501) 224-8300. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday, May 10, 2011, at the funeral home.
