Loyd Lowry

Loyd Lowry, age 75, of Johnsville, Ark. died Thursday May 5, at his home. Born January 4, 1936 in Bradley County, Ark., a son of the late Morris Baskin Lowry and Fetnah Marie Ferrell Lowry he was a retired shipping clerk for Georgia Pacific with 42 years of service, a member of Palestine United Methodist Church and a graduate of the Vick Public Schools. Also, preceding him in death were brothers Lamar Lowry and Beacher Lowry. Survivors are his wife Lois Watt Lowry whom he married March 26, 1976 at Hamburg, Ark. one daughter Cyndie Bohler and spouse Billy of Jasper, Texas. two step-daughters Paula Johnson and spouse Bobby of Baton Rouge, La. and Lisa Watt of Johnsville, Ark. one brother Bobby Lowry of Crossett, Ark. 16 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. Funeral services 2 p.m. Sunday May 8, at Palestine United Methodist Church at Johnsville, Ark. Burial in Palestine Cemetery by Frazer's Funeral Home. Visitation 6-8 p.m. Saturday May 7, at Frazer's.
