Barbara Lucille Carlson

Barbara Lucille Carlson of Conway, passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2011 from Lymphoma. Barb loved arts and crafts, painting and quilting. She loved teaching others about quilting. Barb loved life, working around her home and her dogs. She was the type of person who made us all the better for knowing her and she will be greatly missed. Born in Atlanta, Ga. Barb was a daughter to the late James Julius and Elizabeth Barbara (Bryant) Richmond. A son Thomas Johnson also preceded her in death. Barb is survived by her husband, William Carlson; a son, Edward Johnson of Wichita, Kan.; a sister, Margot Verheaghe of Olathe, Kan.; three brothers: William Flynn of San Diego, Calif., James Flynn of Reno, Nev. and Michael Flynn of Gardner, Kan. Cremation is by her wishes and no service is being held at this time. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery at Axtell Kansas. Local arrangements are by Roller McNutt Funeral Home of Conway.
