Betty Maxine Wallace "Tindell" Phipps, 75, of Conway, went to be with the Lord Sunday, May 15, 2011. She was born December 2, 1935 in Holdenville, Oklahoma, a daughter of the late Fleet Wallace and Amanda "Wallace" Hendrix and the step-daughter of the late Roe Hendrix. She was retired from Perco Telephone Company in Perryville, and was a member of New Life Apostolic Church of Vilonia. She is survived by her children, Susie Blanton of Conway, Spud (Debbie) Tindell of Star, Mississippi, Russell (Regina) Tindell of Oppelo, Roe Tindell of Solgohachia, and Dimple Jennen of Conway; three step-children, Lana (Jay) Haka of Illinois, Rick Phipps of California, and Gary (Mary) Phipps of Illinois; two brothers, Stanley (Virginia) Wallace of Houston, and Charlie (Jo) Wallace of Atkins; three sisters, Johnnie Bailey of Union Valley, Pat Bird of Cherry Hill, and Iva (Jim) Payne of Fort Smith; 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, aunt, and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband Lowell Dean Phipps, one brother, Bert Wallace, two sisters, Helen Wallace and Dimple Taylor, and step-son Marty Phipps. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 18, at the Harris Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Charles Pruitt and Bro. Danny Petty officiating. Burial will be at Kilgore Cemetery near Solgohachia, by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, at the Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Spud Tindell, Russell Tindell, Roe Tindell, Ryan Tindell, Phillip Jennen, and John Jennen.
