Joel W. King

Joel W. King, 63, of Sherwood passed away Sunday, May 15, 2011. He was a retired accountant, a 32nd degree Mason, member of the Scimitar Shrine Temple and VFW and was a U.S. Marine Vietnam veteran. He is survived by his wife of 11 years, V. Jean King, of Sherwood; daughter, JoAnna Carpenter and husband Eddy, of Lonoke; stepson, J. Aaron Howard and wife, Rhonda of McRae; five grandchildren, Nicholas Carpenter, Simon Howard, Justin Carpenter, Seth Howard and Edi Carpenter and many other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Rosie Mae King. A graveside service will be held 10 a.m., Thursday at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.
