Mrs. Olive A Buck, 88, of North Little Rock, Ark., died Saturday, May 14, 2011. She was a hard working farm girl, originally from Avella, Pennsylvania, but has been a resident of North Little Rock for the past twelve years. She worked for AT&T for twenty five years in various locations. Olive was active in many church activities. After retiring she loved to paint, crochet and wave at passing neighbors. She also deeply loved her family and her grandchildren. Olive is preceded in death by her parents, John A. & Mary Cunningham Adams; one sister, Elaine Porter and her husband of forty years, George Erskine Buck. She is survived by a son, Dan Buck of North Little Rock; a daughter, Diane Buck of North Little Rock; five sisters, Madeline Sickles of Washington, Pa.; Janet Kepka of Wilkerson, Wash.; Harriet Patterson of Washington, Pa.; Leila Roadman of Avella, Pa.; Gertrude Buck of Colbert, Wash.; two grandsons, David and John Buck of North Little Rock and one granddaughter, Amanda Buck of Alexandria, Va. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, May 20, 2011 at First Baptist Church of Sherwood. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, May 19, 2011 at Roller-Owens Funeral Home, 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd, North Little Rock, Ark. (501-791-7400).
