Arvin E. Jones

Mr. Arvin E. Jones, 76, of Prescott, passed away, Tuesday, May 17 in a local hospital. Mr. Jones was born, Tuesday, March 26, 1935 in Prescott to Ferman and Rosa Lee Evans Jones. He was a retired Officer of the Arkansas Game and Fish, with 24 years of service, retired Army Sergeant serving in the Arkansas National Guard for 31 years, a Baptist and a Mason. Mr. Jones was a avid hunter and fisherman. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Kenneth Jones. Mr. Jones is survived by his loving and devoted wife, of 54 years of marriage, Genevieve King Jones of Prescott, a son; David Jones and Brandi of Prescott, a daughter; Mary Gen Adams of Prescott, two brothers; John Perry Jones of Falcon, Ark. and Dallas Herschel Jones of Little Rock, six grandchildren; Jeremy Heath, Jessica Jones Reyenga, Shay Jones, Kelsey Jones, Genna Adams and Merideth Jones, two great-grandchildren; Lynlee Heath and Heyden Jones. Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, May 19 at Sweet Home Cemetery, Blevins, Arkansas. Bro. James Cox will officiate.
