James T. Castleberry

Dr. James T. Castleberry, 81, Neosho, formerly of Greenbrier, Ark., died May 17, 2011 at his home in Neosho, following a lengthy illness. He was born Sept. 23, 1929 in Greenbrier, Ark. the son of Joe and Lorene Castleberry. Dr. Castleberry was an administrator in education for 36 years. He served in the U.S. Army in 1951 and graduated from Officer's Candidate School. He married Val Montgomery on June 16, 1950 and she survives. Also surviving are three children, Donna, Joe and Becky; eight grandchildren, Rachel, Khannah, Eythan, Jake, Joseph, Ashlie, Erin and Afton; two great-great-grandchildren, Bryden and Blake and a sister, Jocile Perry, Milton, Fla. Services were held at 10 a.m. on May 21, 2011 at the Neosho United Methodist Church and interment in the Neosho IOOF Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Clark Funeral Home, Neosho, Mo.
