Darrell Leon Joslin bravely and peacefully went to be with the Lord May 14, 2011 surrounded by family in Trinity, Texas. Darrell was born October 15, 1934 in Enola, Arkansas to Elijah Toy and Fleeta Lee Joslin. Darrell married Patricia Ann Carroll/Kerby in 1952 of North Little Rock, Arkansas. He was a Sgt Major in the National Guard for 11 years, worked 38 years until retirement with Borden's Dairy while raising a family in Little Rock, Ark., Midland and Houston, Texas. Darrell known as Paw Paw is survived by his loving wife (Pat), sister (Paulette Berger), daughters (Mally Joslin and Toy Long), son (Mark Joslin); six grandchildren (John, Michael, Shawn, Shana, Courtney, and Justin); nine great-grandchildren (Paige, Gabriella, Lauren, Malon, Cameron, Madison, Reatta, Emma, and Brodie); extended family (Diana Albin, Charles Berger, Gale Long, Jack Dodd, Erica Lindsay, Dickie McIntosh, Becca Joslin, and Ivana Pena). Preceded in death by both of his parents, sister (Martha Wingfield), and faithful companion, Buddy. Graveside Service was held on Thursday, May 19, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Trinity Cedar Grove Cemetery with Rev. Mike Loftin officiating. Burial will follow. Waller-Thornton Funeral Home.
