Alvin "Butch" Edgar Burt, Jr.

Alvin "Butch" Edgar Burt Jr., 66 of Mayflower, died Monday, May 23, 2011. Alvin was born June 28, 1944 in Newport to the late Alvin and Imogene (Huskey) Burt. Alvin retired from Pat Salmon & Sons, Inc. after 46 years of service. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing. Mr. Burt is survived by his wife of 49 years, Donna (Johnson) Burt of Mayflower; children Randy Burt and wife Lisa of Knoxville, Tenn. and Tonya Shelby and husband Garry of Mayflower; brother Jack Burt and wife Pat of Cocoa, Fla.; grandchildren Kimberly Koenigseder, Jenniffer Jacobs (Scott), Kellie Standley, Shannon Shelby, Ivy Shelby, and Haley Burt; and five great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, May 25, 2011 in the Chapel of Griffin Leggett Funeral Home-Conway, with Rev. Wade Lentz officiating.
