Roni Rae Smith

Roni Rae Smith, 19, of Higden, passed away Friday, May 20, 2011, in Cleburne County. Born in Forrest City on November 5, 1991, she was the daughter of Stephen Ray Smith and Elisha Elizabeth Smith Johns. Roni was employed as a waitress. She was a member of the Greers Ferry First Assembly of God Church. Her maternal grandparents, Shelby and Gloene Hudson, preceded her in death. Survivors include her mother, Elisha E. Johns of Higden; father, Stephen R. Smith of Normangee, Texas; brother, Travis Smith of Richmond, Missouri; sisters, Abby Smith of Kansas City, Missouri, and Samantha Evans of Higden; paternal grandparents, Leon and Kay Smith of Richmond, Missouri; aunt and uncles, and nieces and nephews, including a special niece and nephew, Natalie Evans and Landon Evans. A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 3 p.m. in the West Side School Gymnasium with Pastor Chad Kumpe officiating. www.olmstead.cc.
