Harry Vincent Page, 86, of Little Rock, passed away May 23, 2011. He was born July 18, 1924 to Christian Delva and Helen Gifford Page. He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Elizabeth Godfrey Page, his brother, Clarence Page and by his parents. He is survived by his son, Roger Page (Beth) of Little Rock; a daughter, Anne Eden (Randall) of Little Rock; 2 sisters, Peg Daniel and Mary Fiser, both of Little Rock; grandchildren, Sean Page (Amanda) of Little Rock, Stuart Rucker of Fayetteville, LCPL Philip Rucker, USMC, Annaliese Eden of Springdale and one great grandchild, "Bear" Bates of Little Rock. Harry was a graduate of LRHS, a proud member of award winning LRHS Band. He retired as supervisor of the Tie and Timber Dept. for Rock Island Railroad after working there since 1942. He was a volunteer Trailblazer at Pinnacle Mountain State Park. He was also a member of Primrose UMC and served as Choir Director, UMY Director and served on many boards and committees. Later in life he attended Oak Forest UMC as his health would permit. Harry loved his church, his family, music, the great outdoors and All Creatures Great and Small. He was called many names.......Harry, Vincent, Sam, but his favorite was being called Grandpa. He always had a smile and kind word for everyone he met. The family would like to thank the staff of Valley Ranch Nursing Home and the staff of 7B unit at Baptist Health, Little Rock. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Friday, May 27 at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth Funeral Home, 5800 W. 12th Street, Little Rock, (501) 661-9111 with Rev. Richard Lancaster officiating. Interment will be at Pinecrest Memorial Park following the service. Visitation will be from 4:30-6:30 p.m., Thursday, May 26 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers-memorials can be made to: Alzheimer's Association, Primrose UMC, Oak Forest UMC or Pulaski Co. Humane Society.
